Bruce Hall
Bruce Hall offers a number of bursaries, including Bruce Hall Bursaries, and
the Belconnen Rotary Bursaries. The level of assistance ranges from $500 to
$3000 per year, and is credited in fortnightly instalments to the student's
account. Bursaries are awarded to residents on the basis of financial need, and
students must demonstrate a satisfactory academic achievement at university.

John XXIII College
SCHOLARSHIPS
Each year scholarships are awarded to returning students on the basis of
academic performance in the previous academic year. The Thomas Hegarty
Scholarship is the major scholarship of $3000 awarded to the best performed
undergraduate over the previous twelve months. Five other undergraduate
scholarships valued at $1500 are awarded to the next best performed residents.
Giles Pickford Trophy Fosters Group Scholarship ($1000) is awarded to a
continuing resident of high academic achievement who has been involved across a
range of spiritual, social, cultural and sporting activities in the College.
BURSARIES
Four bursaries worth $1500 each for contribution to College life (spiritual,
academic, social, cultural and sporting dimension of Johns) are awarded each
year. Two go to persons in non designated leadership positions (male and female)
and two to persons in a designated leadership position (male &
female). There is a $1500 bursary known as the Spirit of Johns Award presented
to a resident who has been active in many and varied aspects of College life and
in the process demonstrates good sportsmanship, compassion, concern for the
wellbeing and dignity of others, a person who by their actions, attitudes and
contribution serve to promote the true spirit of John XXIII College.

Burton and Garran Hall
Burton and Garran offers limited bursaries to returning residents at the
start of semester to students experiencing financial hardship. Full bursaries
are equivalent to 50% of one Semester's rent and are credited automatically to
the Student's account. The bursaries are funded by a bequest from Professor Joe
Burton who died in 1983.

Burgmann College
A number of Bursaries and Scholarships, each worth $5000 per annum, are
awarded to both returning and new residents at the beginning of each calandar
year. These amounts are credited automatically to the residents' accounts.

Fenner Hall
Fenner Hall offers a number of bursaries and scholarships to residents
including the Pauline Griffin Accommodation Bursaries for 1st year students,
Frank Fenner Accommodation Bursaries for later year students and the Bobbie
Fenner Accommodation Scholarships for students enrolled in the Bachelor of
Philosophy (Honours) (PhB) Degree in the Faculty of Science.
The Pauline Griffin and Frank Fenner Accommodation Bursaries are awarded each
semester to encourage academic achievement and are equivalent to 25% of one
semester's rent which is credited automatically to the recipients' accounts. The
Bobbie Fenner Accommodation Scholarships are equivalent to 50% of the academic
year's rent and aims to encourage achievement in the field of science and
research.
