Toad Hall is a community of Full-time ANU Postgraduate and mature age students. Residents must be Postgraduate or turning 24 in the first semester of residency.

Nestled right on the edge of the city and Sullivan’s creek, Toad Hall’s ideal location maximises convenience while emphasizing a balance between the academic and social spheres of life. Toad Hall welcomes postgraduate and mature age undergraduate students from all cultures.

Toad Hall has 227 room for single occupancy, each with ample storage, a single bed, desk, desk chair, pin board and cupboard.

Toad Hall's tariffs are listed in the Residential Fees summary.  Contact for guest rates.

Toad Hall is self catered and we provide shared kitchen facilities for you to prepare your own meals. The cosmopolitan nature of the Hall creates the perfect environment to improve your culinary skills and sample excellent dishes from exotic locations.

Your rent includes electricity, heating and water charges.

All rooms have phones with voicemail. Internal University and Hall calls are free. Local, STD and International calls are billed separately.

Toad Hall offers a comfortable and well equipped computer room containing 12 computers (PC and Mac). This facility is available 24 hours a day for convenient use by residents. Each room has a data-port linking directly to the University IT network. Internet usage is included in the weekly tariff.

Toad Hall is within a 400-metre radius of every service you could ever think of including three beautiful nature reserves. Toad Hall also has ample secure bicycle storage.

While Toad Hall does not have tutors, Toad Hall does have a network of Senior Residents who can advise you on the University’s available academic support services.

Toad Hall has a designated music room and students are also welcome to practice their instruments in one of our many common rooms.

Toad Hall has five communal laundries with washing machines and dryers. Usage is included in the weekly tariff.  Residents provide their own laundry detergent.

A car park is located at the front of the Hall. Residents will need to purchase a parking permit. Canberra's network of bike paths and public transport is quite good so we encourage residents to save money and not bring a car.

Students are responsible for cleaning their own rooms. Toad Hall is a green Hall and takes issues like recycling and resource conservation very seriously.
